Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Hemsworth took a break from filming Avengers: Doomsday to attend a special screening of Marvel’s newest movie, Thunderbolts. They were joined by other Avengers cast members, including Paul Rudd, Anthony Mackie, Simu Liu, Winston Duke, and Channing Tatum.

After the screening, Downey Jr. shared pictures on social media with the caption, “Just wow!!! Dinner and a show with the Old Avengers. So cool, fresh, and deep.

Big congrats to the New Avengers (and Bob).” Hemsworth also praised the film, saying he was “blown away” and encouraging fans to see it in theaters. Rudd is known for playing Ant-Man, while Mackie recently became the new Captain America.

Liu starred in Shang-Chi, and Duke has appeared as M’Baku in the Black Panther films. Tatum made his Marvel debut as Gambit in Deadpool and Wolverine. All these actors will appear in Avengers: Doomsday, set for release in 2027.

Hemsworth will return as Thor, but Downey Jr. will play the villain Victor von Doom instead of Iron Man. Thunderbolts, directed by Jake Schreier, features a cast including Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, Wyatt Russell, David Harbour, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

The film has received positive reviews and is expected to do well at the box office. The gathering of these iconic heroes and their supportive messages shows their friendship and respect for each other, both on and off the screen. Their continued involvement in the Marvel Cinematic Universe promises more exciting films for fans in the coming years.
