The first trailer for “Now You See Me: Now You Don’t” has been released by Lionsgate. It is the third movie in the series about magicians who pull off heists. Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, and Isla Fisher are back as the Four Horsemen.
Mark Ruffalo and Morgan Freeman also return from the previous films. New cast members include Ariana Greenblatt, Dominic Sessa, Rosamund Pike, and Justice Smith. In the trailer, Eisenberg’s character recruits a new team of magicians.
He tells them, “I’m talking about a trick that is bigger and better than anything you have ever seen. It’s now or never.”
The studio gave a sneak peek of the movie at CinemaCon. They announced that a fourth film is already in the works.
“We were so happy with the director’s cut, we’re already developing the next chapter,” said Adam Fogelson from Lionsgate.
Magicians reunite for new heist
Ruben Fleischer is directing both the third and fourth movies in the series.
The first “Now You See Me” movie was released in 2013. It showed how the Four Horsemen were brought together to do a big heist using magic. In the 2016 sequel, Ruffalo’s FBI agent character joined the magicians.
Lizzy Caplan replaced Isla Fisher in the cast. Now, Fisher is back with the others. The Four Horsemen seem to have retired at the start of the new movie.
But they get pulled back in for another mission. “Now You See Me: Now You Don’t” will be in theaters on Nov. 14.
