Jenna Bush Hager had her hair cut into a bob on live television. The transformation happened on the June 16 episode of the TODAY show. Celebrity hairstylist Chris McMillan did the haircut.
He is known for creating iconic looks, such as “The Rachel” for Jennifer Aniston on Friends. Actress Leslie Bibb joined Bush Hager on the show. Bibb’s character on The White Lotus recently made Bob’s popular again.
“When I was here back in March, Jenna vowed to get on board with the bob, and today is the day!” Bibb said. McMillan explained why bobs are so appealing.
Jenna’s bob highlights versatility
“Bobs are like spring cleaning,” he said. “There’s sometimes some bad damage, bad layers. It sort of evens it up.”
He noted similarities between Bush Hager’s face shape and Aniston’s.
“Jenna has a lot of face from here to here,” he said, pointing to her jawline, “and a small forehead, very similar to Jennifer Aniston’s face shape.”
McMillan said bobs are versatile and can be styled in different ways. They can be slicked behind the ears, worn natural, or made wavy. As he cut Bush Hager’s hair, the live audience gasped and applauded.
The full reveal of her new look will air on the June 17 episode of TODAY with Jenna & Friends. Bush Hager’s haircut is the latest high-profile transformation by McMillan. It showcases his continued influence in the world of celebrity hairstyling.
