JoJo Siwa has addressed her recent breakup with Kath Ebbs and her close friendship with Chris Hughes following her time on Celebrity Big Brother UK. During an appearance on This Morning, JoJo confirmed the split, explaining that her experience in the Celebrity Big Brother house gave her clarity on various aspects of her life. “I was now in my own thoughts, away from everyone I know, away from outsiders’ opinions, and from that point on, I realized things that I was OK with in my life that I should never have been OK with,” JoJo said.
She clarified that her decision to end the relationship with Kath was not influenced by her friendship with Chris. “Obviously we’re close, obviously we’re tight,” JoJo stated. Chris added, “I think you can have a soulmate friendship, I think that’s a thing.”
When asked if their friendship could evolve into something more, JoJo laughed but didn’t completely rule it out.
Clarifying breakup despite friendship rumors
“He’s a great guy; it’s platonic. We have a lot of fun together; life is life,” she said.
Over the weekend, Kath publicly shared her side of the story, revealing that JoJo ended their relationship at the Celebrity Big Brother wrap party, just hours after JoJo left the show. “I flew across the world to support and be there and hold that person in whatever they would be experiencing, leaving such a wild experience, and instead, I was dumped at the afterparty, with Chris in the next room,” Kath said in a now-deleted TikTok video. Kath expressed feelings of humiliation and embarrassment, adding, “I was told that there are confused feelings there… and that she had realized in the house that I wasn’t the person that [she] wanted to spend the foreseeable future with.”
JoJo and Chris were seen spending time together over the weekend, but JoJo will be returning to the United States shortly.
