Jimmy Kimmel has called out former President Trump’s plan involving Canada, warning Trump supporters to consider the consequences of their aspirations regarding the northern neighbor. Trump, who engaged in a tariff war with Canada, has been taunting the nation for months. He suggested that conservatives might support the idea of Canada becoming a U.S. state.
Kimmel urged them to consider the implications, asking, “Do they think it would be a red state?”
Canada has a population of about 41 million, slightly more than California, which holds 54 electoral votes. Kimmel joked that if Canada were to have 54 electoral votes, it could drastically change the political landscape. “If Canada also had 54 electoral votes, forget MAGA — our next president will be a kindhearted lesbian moose,” Kimmel quipped to cheers from the audience.

Kimmel humorously added, “I’m trying to say I’m for it. Save us, Canada; you’re our only hope.”
The late-night host touched on Trump’s controversial nomination choices, including Robert F.
Kennedy Jr. for Secretary of Health and Human Services and Tulsi Gabbard for National Security Director. “It was stupor Tuesday in Washington today,” Kimmel said.
“Senators voted along party lines to advance the nominations.”
Kimmel joked about RFK Jr.’s anti-vaccination stances, saying, “After Kennedy got through, the Republicans who voted for him broke into a rousing chorus of ‘For He’s a Jolly Rubella.'”
The comedian also criticized Trump’s reported plans to dismantle the Department of Education, remarking, “Eliminating the Department of Education isn’t making America great again; it’s making America Florida.
