Rihanna announces third pregnancy at Met Gala

Rihanna made a stunning appearance at the 2025 Met Gala, revealing her third pregnancy in a custom outfit designed by Marc Jacobs. The singer, who is expecting her third child with rapper A$AP Rocky, closed out the red carpet in a show-stopping ensemble that featured a black bonded barathea wool Spencer jacket, a gray morning-stripe wool bustier bodysuit, a black pinstripe wool V-tailored skirt with a tied-jacket bustle, and a polka dot satin cravat with a pique collar. She completed her look with a custom spectator-embellished ankle-chain pump and a custom hat by renowned milliner Stephen Jones.

Jahleel Weaver, who has been styling Rihanna since 2011, put together her outfit for the event, which highlighted Black dandyism and menswear with a “Tailored for You” dress code. A$AP Rocky, Rihanna’s partner and one of the event’s cochairs, looked dashing in a custom AWGE outfit paired with Alex Moss jewelry. The couple, who met in 2020, are already parents to two sons, RZA and Riot.

As she walked the red carpet, Rihanna joyfully announced, “I brought the kid,” showcasing her evident excitement for their growing family. Earlier in the day, Rihanna was photographed walking in New York wearing a gray-blue cropped top and skirt set with a fur stole and cloche hat, sparking online conversation about her visible baby bump.

Her daring maternity style has earned her praise and influence in the fashion world, with memorable looks such as a sheer skirt over a thong at Dior’s Fall-Winter 2022 show and a metallic fringe set at a Fenty Beauty event. Rihanna later swapped her Met Gala outfit for a daring afterparty look, baring her baby bump in an all-black ensemble that featured a ruffled top, unbuttoned to reveal her budding belly, paired with a lace-up, floor-length skirt and lace heels that matched her headpiece. The 2025 Met Gala celebrated the sophisticated and detailed style of Black tailoring, tracing its roots back to the 18th century.

It turned out to be a memorable evening, blending history, fashion, and personal milestones for Rihanna and her family.
