The off-the-shoulder dress was embellished with over 16,000 drops of glass and hand-sewn Rosemont crystals arranged in a lattice pattern. A team of 12 Italian artisans created the dress.
They meticulously airbrushed the glass to achieve a pink ombré finish that shimmered with each movement.

Gomez completed her look with a peachy nude lip, a wavy bob, and dazzling diamond jewelry, including a choker and drop earrings. Gomez’s stylist, Erin Walsh, shared that their inspiration for the look was the legendary Sophia Loren.
They even consulted the Hollywood icon’s former tailor. “[We were] looking to channel ‘movie star magic,'” Walsh told E! News. Gomez arrived at the awards show with fiancé Benny Blanco.

Selena Gomez’s stunning Oscar gown
She co-presented the Best Documentary Short Film and Best Documentary Feature categories alongside Samuel L. Jackson. Her film “Emilia Perez” garnered 13 Oscar nominations, including Best Picture.
It won for Best Supporting Actress (Zoe Saldaña) and Best Original Song (for “El Mal”). Gowns adorned with shimmering embellishments were a hallmark of the glamorous night at LA’s Dolby Theatre. During a tribute performance for James Bond, Doja Cat dazzled in a custom Swarovski gown featuring over one million crystals.
Lily-Rose Depp also made waves with a Chanel dress boasting around 191,000 embroidery elements. Ariana Grande turned heads in a Schiaparelli gown with over 190,000 crystal sequins, rhinestones, and beads. Blush pink shades were a prominent trend on the red carpet, with floor-length gowns inspired by old Hollywood icons like Sophia Loren.
Throughout the 2025 awards season, Gomez has consistently been one of the best-dressed stars. She wowed at events like the Screen Actors Guild Awards in a romantic Celine gown and the Golden Globes in a light blue Prada gown described as “Cinderella meets Jackie O.”
Selena Gomez clearly knows how to make a statement on the red carpet, combining elements of classic Hollywood with modern elegance.
