Paul McCartney, Sabrina Carpenter, Miley Cyrus, and other artists will perform at the “Saturday Night Live” 50th anniversary special on Sunday. The three-hour show, titled “SNL50: The Anniversary Special,” will air live at 8 p.m. EDT on NBC and Peacock from Studio 8H in New York City’s Rockefeller Center, where “SNL” has been broadcast since 1975. YouTube star Amelia Dimoldenberg will serve as the red carpet correspondent.
The red carpet will be livestreamed at 7 p.m. EDT on Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, and YouTube.

The special will feature a star-studded lineup of former “SNL” cast members and celebrities, including Adam Sandler, Amy Poehler, Eddie Murphy, Kate McKinnon, Tina Fey, Will Ferrell, and many others.

Other celebrities set to appear include Adam Driver, Dave Chappelle, Kim Kardashian, Pedro Pascal, Robert De Niro, Scarlett Johansson, Steve Martin, and Tom Hanks. One notable absence will be “SNL” alum Bill Hader, who has a longstanding scheduling conflict. In addition to the performances by Paul McCartney and others, a separate concert will be livestreamed on Peacock on Friday at 8 p.m. EDT.

“SNL50: The Homecoming Concert,” produced by “SNL” creator Lorne Michaels and Mark Ronson, will feature live performances by Arcade Fire, Backstreet Boys, Bad Bunny, Lady Gaga, The Roots, and more. Several other “SNL50” specials have been released, including a three-hour documentary produced by Questlove and a four-part docuseries offering a behind-the-scenes look at the show, available on Peacock.
