Taylor Swift praises Selena Gomez's new album

Taylor Swift expressed her admiration for Selena Gomez’s new album with her fiancé Benny Blanco on Saturday. Swift posted an Instagram story, sharing a Spotify link to the album and tagging both Gomez and Blanco. “I LOVE THIS ALBUM SO MUCH OH MY GODDDDDDDDDDDD,” she captioned her post.

Travis Kelce, Swift’s partner, also broke his Instagram hiatus on Saturday, but for a different reason. Kelce reacted to his sister-in-law Kylie Kelce’s heartbreaking announcement about the loss of their 7-year-old dog, Baloo. Travis Kelce responded with two crying face emojis in the comments section of Kylie Kelce’s Instagram post.

Despite being popular, Swift and Kelce have kept their relationship private.

They reportedly vacationed abroad after the Chiefs’ Super Bowl loss and have been photographed during a few nights out back in the States. However, they have not made a major public appearance together since the big game.

Selena Gomez has clarified that the songs from her and fiancé Benny Blanco’s new album, “I Said I Love You First,” are not about her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber, despite fan speculation.

During an interview for Spotify’s Countdown To “I Said I Love You First,” Gomez said, “Anytime I release anything, the interpretation will be up to the audience.

However, I would like to say that most of this album has nothing to do with what everyone may go to.”

Gomez added that while the interpretation of her songs was “for whatever people want,” for her, it was about both hers and Benny’s “past” and their “history.” She continued, “Some songs were actually meant about friendships in my life, and I think that’s what the album was about to me. I just wanted to get that out there because that was very important to me.”

Taylor Swift endorses Selena Gomez

Fans had speculated that a few songs from the album referred to Gomez’s relationship with Bieber, whom she dated on and off for eight years before finally calling it quits in 2018. However, Gomez’s clarification gives fans insight into the true inspiration behind her latest work and clears up any misconceptions surrounding her past and present relationships.

Gomez and Blanco’s joint release, “I Said I Love You First,” is not the saccharine project many might’ve expected. The album offers an ideal listen for those who love love, but it also explores various forms of love and life, including the sexy, fun, despairing, and messy parts of it. The album opens with a recording of a teary young Gomez saying goodbye to the cast and crew of the show that made her a household name, blending into the first song, “Younger and Hotter Than Me.” Gomez captures the feeling of not fitting in, a theme she’s explored throughout her career.

The duo keeps things fresh by experimenting with different genres and collaborating with other beloved artists, such as Charli XCX. They also explore sensuality in tracks like “Sunset Blvd.” and “Cowboy,” showcasing their capacity to create resonant and varied music. “I Said I Love You First” distills themes of love and life into an amusing yet thoughtful pop package, extending beyond the famous couple’s relationship and even featuring a song performed in Spanish, “Ojos Tristes.”
