The hit HBO series “The Last of Us” has added six new cast members for its highly anticipated second season. Joe Pantoliano, Alanna Ubach, Ben Ahlers, Hettienne Park, Robert John Burke, and Noah Lamanna will join the show in various roles. Pantoliano, known for his work in “Memento” and “The Matrix,” will portray Eugene, a character who had a minor role in the original video game.

Showrunners Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann plan to expand Eugene’s background, similar to how they developed Bill’s character in the first season. Ubach, who has appeared in “Euphoria” and “Bombshell,” will play a new character named Hanrahan. Ahlers, known for his roles in “The Gilded Age” and “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” will portray Burton, another original character created for the series.

Park, who recently appeared in “Don’t Look Up,” will play Elise, while Burke, known for his role in “RoboCop 3,” will take on the role of Seth, the bar owner from “The Last of Us Part II” video game.

These new additions will join the existing cast, which includes Pedro Pascal as Joel, Bella Ramsey as Ellie, Isabela Merced as Dina, Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, and Gabriel Luna as Tommy. “The Last of Us” Season 2 will adapt the events of “The Last of Us Part II,” expanding the narrative over the planned four-season run.
